So, this morning, Zuke and I woke up to the realization that we really had nothing to do today. Not a single thing that needed to be done, aside from picking up Tyler tonight, because we've been doing so much work the past couple weeks. We were completely reveling in that thought.....
But not for long.
We had taken a trip to an oriental market that Zuke heard about (which we were very impressed with, by the way), and had decided to go grab some yummy lunch at Brick Oven. I had just ordered my drink and was on my way to the bathroom, when my plan for a relaxing day went down the drain. My phone rang on the way to the bathroom, and it was my dear friend Annalee, needing a huge favor. Now, Annalee has saved my butt many a time, so I really had no problem helping her out with whatever she needed. Apparently, her cousin was getting married this afternoon, and the flowers that they had ordered turned out horribly. So I made a quick call and trip to my wholesaler, picked up some flowers, and spent the afternoon at the church putting together new flowers, and attempting to repair previous ones. I was on a major time crunch, so was probably being a little careless, and sliced a huge gash in my thumb with my floral knife. I was the only one at the church at the time, so I had to craft a makeshift bandaid with a paper towel and floral tape, and then get right back to work. It's still bleeding, actually. In the end, with some last minute help from Annalee, all of the flowers got done, and the mother-of-the-bride was extremely grateful. Job well done. I was excited to get home to relax.
Yeah. Right.
I picked up Tyler and came home, only to find out that Kaiden had been throwing up for the past hour. On the stairs. On the couch. On his lap while I was sitting next to him. Poor kid. I hate when my kids get sick like that. He just threw up again, and we're now trying to get him to take a taste of jello. We'll see how that goes.
Anyway, it's been an insanely long day. Two high points, though. Addison has made tons of progress in her crawling today! Give it a couple more weeks, and there won't be any stopping her. Also, we had some potty training succes. Kaiden pooped in the potty! I've been telling him all weekend that if he could do that, then he and I would go out and get him a special treat. For any parent who has ever potty trained a child, I'm sure you can appreciate what a huge milestone that is! I'm so proud of him, and he is insanely proud of himself. Too bad he's too sick right now to go get his treat. Ok, off to bed!

Sorry to trash your Saturday. However, you did a magnificent job with the flowers. :)
Wow, you are awesome for taking the floral job on... I am not sure I would even dare. Way to go! Oh, poor Kaiden! And way to go Kaiden and Addi!
