Field Trip
On Wednesday, Tyler's preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station, and Zuke and I got to go along. Tyler was really excited, because he got to ride on a big school bus to the fire station. As soon as we got there, the firemen had to go respond to a fire alarm, so we got to see them load up into the truck and head out. Some of the other firemen talked to all of us about what we do during a fire, and how to "Stop, Drop, and Roll." One of the firemen put all of his gear on to show the kids what they look like all suited up, mainly so they wouldn't be afraid. When the big engine came back, they showed the kids how the ladder went up, and one of the firemen climbed all the way up to the top. We also got to see the fire house, where the firemen live while they are on shift. All of the kids (and the adults) had a really good time. The firemen were really nice, and we were grateful to them for all that they taught the kids.
