Primary Colors

Last Saturday after I picked Tyler up from his dad, we were driving home and I was explaining to him that we had bought him some new church clothes, since he has outgrown his previous ones. I told him that we had picked out a blue shirt with a yellow tie (his two favorite colors), and this was the conversation that followed:

Tyler: Did you buy pants, too?

Me: Yes, we bought you some pants, too.

Tyler: They're red pants, huh?

Me: No, they're not red.

Tyler: Yes, they are. Blue shirt, yellow tie, and red pants.

Me: No, they're not red.

Tyler: But they HAVE TO BE RED!

Me: (Sigh.) Why do they HAVE to be red?

Tyler: Because they are my new Primary clothes, and primary colors are red, yellow and blue!

I was completely speechless! How do you argue with that?!?! I told him that we would just go home and look at the pants, and then he could tell me what color they were. The next morning, he got to put his new clothes on, and absolutely loved them! (Especially the yellow "neck tie".)
