We got to celebrate my grandpa's 93rd birthday this past Thursday. Everyone was very excited to be able to celebrate this birthday, since Grandpa had just spent the last month in the hospital. What started out as a short stay from a hairline fracture in his hip, turned into a one-month stay and a new pacemaker. He was just moved to an assisted living facility in Santaquin, which we all think will be very good for him for the time being. As far as the birthday went, Zuke and I volunteered to take care of the cake. We had the idea of getting a cake with the old tow truck that he used to drive for years on top. We called our go-to cake decorator, Sheree, who has always done amazing work for us before. She did not disappoint!!
The cake looked AND tasted absolutely amazing! Thursday evening, all of the aunts, uncles, and cousins who were in town showed up for cake and ice cream at the assisted living center. It was so great to see everyone! My sweet grandpa got all choked up when we sang "Happy Birthday" to him, as well as a couple other times that evening. He is such a wonderful, caring person, and hopefully we have some more birthdays to look forward to with him!

Thanks for all you did to put the party together. I know it meant a lot to Grandpa and it was great to see everyone who was able to make it!
