This year at the end of the year, I was fully expecting the traditional end-of-year school program. What I wasn't expecting was a class play AND a 2nd grade program 3 days apart! Tyler's class did a play, "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension". Tyler got to be Phineas, and he had more lines than anyone else in the play. It was a 2nd grade play, so there were a lot of pauses, a lot of time spent with the kids figuring out whose turn it was to say their line, etc. I am proud to say that none of those instances were because Tyler didn't know what he was doing. He did such an amazing job!
3 days later was the actual 2nd grade program. Earlier that day, the power had gone out throughout most of the city, including at the elementary school. They opted to still have the program, but that's why a lot of the pictures look so dark. Since there were no microphones, it was a bit hard to hear the speaking parts very clearly. Tyler, thankfully, spoke really loudly and clearly when it was his turn. The songs were very cute! After the program, we got to go visit his classroom and see a bunch of the stuff that he'd been working on throughout the year. Tyler has loved being in second grade, and has loved being in Ms. Carter's class! We're so proud of the hard work that he's done!

I cannot believe how fast that kid is growing up, I swear he is going to be off to college soon! And that is awesome that he had the main part in the play, sounds like he is going to be a performer, way to go Tyler!
