Saturday afternoon we had Kaiden's firefighter birthday party. It was a rather crazy day, as we had family pictures that morning also (I'll post those when I get them next week). My amazing mother arranged for everyone to go on a tour of the Spanish Fork Fire Station for the party. The boys had been excited about it all day! I had gotten all of the kids plastic fire hats, so they donned those and headed down to the fire station. Soon after they got there, a call came in, so they actually got to see some fire trucks and an ambulance leave the station. They got to sit in the back and driver's seat of a fire truck, and try on the firemen's gear. They had a blast!
When they came back to the house, we had a fire truck pinata in the garage for them. They all got quite a few swings at it before it finally broke. The kids gathered up all their candy, and then came inside to open presents. Kaiden loved opening his presents (again), and absolutely loved everything that he got! A light sabre, cars, lots of tools, more clothes, and a really cool pop-up truck. We then had cake and ice cream, which turned out really well, if I do say so myself. It was such a fun day!
