The Itsy Bitsy Spider Bite

Monday morning, the day after we got home from spending the weekend up in Scofield, I noticed that Addison's eye looked like this:

We tried putting ice on it, but it just kept getting worse, so I took her into the pediatrician that afternoon.  He confirmed what we had thought....a nice, big spider bite.  Addison also had a bit of a fever, so he prescribed us some antibiotics in case it didn't start clearing up quickly.  He said to watch it really closely, because if it got worse, it could affect her vision.  Just what we needed, right?  Luckily, by the next morning the swelling was down, and this morning it was almost completely back to normal.  Thank heavens!
