Addison had her bi-annual Shriner's appointment this last Thursday. I was a bit concerned about this for two reasons.....One, because I had to take ALL four kids with me. At her last appointment, we were there for over 3 hours, and I was worried about trying to keep 4 kids entertained for that long. The second reason I was nervous about this visit is because the doctor we had been seeing for the past 4 years no longer sees patients there, and we got assigned to a new doctor. We have really loved out doctor, and nobody that I talked to knew anything about this new doctor, so I was very skeptical.
Luckily for me, I had absolutely nothing at all to worry about! If I haven't mentioned before how much we love the staff at Shriner's, let me put it in writing that they are all absolutely amazing! Not only did we barely wait for x-rays or to see the doctor, but the nurses made sure that every single one of my kids was taken care of. They walked out with tons of stickers, suckers, and some stuffed animals! Needless to say, they were entertained.
I was also very impressed with our new doctor, Dr. Santora. He was so good with Addison, and very efficient in letting us know what we needed to know. I think that he will be a great doctor to work with for the next few years. Everything still looks good with Addison, so we'll just look forward to our next appointment in six months!
