Yesterday we took the kids up to Salt Lake to see Disney On Ice for Addison's birthday. We didn't want to deal with the traffic and parking fees, so we drove up to Sandy and took Trax the rest of the way up. Addison LOVED the train! She kept going on and on about how fast it was going, and how excited she was to be taking the train for the first time. We were joking about how we could have just ridden the train up and back, and skipped everything else, and she still would have been happy!
We got up to the arena and had to wait a few minutes for them to open the doors. Once inside, we took a potty break, bought some souvenirs and snacks, and got settled in our seats for the show. The theme was all about dreaming big, and we saw the stories of Cinderella, The Princess and The Frog, and Rapunzel. Rapunzel was by far the favorite of everyone! They had these giant yellow panels of fabric hanging from the ceiling that were supposed to be Rapunzel's hair, and her and Flynn Rider would loop their arms around the ends of the fabric and fly above the ice, similar to something you would see in Cirque du Soleil. It was amazing! I remember going to Disney On Ice as a kid a few times, and it was just as awesome as I remember it being. The kids had a blast, and it was a fun family memory to make!
