Christmas 2009

We had an amazing Christmas this year! Despite arguing most of the month with Kaiden's mom about when we actually got him during the break, our schedules ran pretty smoothly this year. We were lucky enough to have both sides of our family with us for all of the festivities. On Christmas Eve, we went to my parent's house for dinner, Christmas stories, and the nativity story - a family tradition. After that, Zuke and Ryo took the kids up to the Festival of Lights, while Debra and I ran home to get the Christmas pajamas and cookies for Santa ready. Once the kids were in bed, we hurried to finish wrapping the last of the presents and get them under the tree.

Christmas morning seems like a bit of a blur. When Tyler and Kaiden ran up the stairs and saw all the presents, there were exclamations of, "Oh my gosh!", "I don't believe it!", and, "Holy cow! How is this possible!" We had a grand time opening up our huge pile of presents, and then had even more to open up once my family showed up. We opened the rest of our presents, then made a huge breakfast of German pancakes, bacon, and juice. It was so nice being able to spend the holiday with our entire family! The rest of the weekend was mostly spent lounging around in pajamas playing Rock Band. It was a great holiday! Below is a selection of some of the many pictures we took.
