Well, we made it through the first couple weeks of summer break! Barely, at some moments, but we did. The past few days, the kids have been extremely good and well-behaved, so we decided to put off our usual Saturday chores for a little fun in the sun. To start the day off, we met Cameron, Amanda, and their girls down at the splash pad to play for a while. The kids had a blast! Alexis kept running around for about 5 minutes, and then would want to spend the next 5 minutes sitting on someone's lap. Silly goose! And poor Lila kept tripping and got her knees all scraped up. We all had a really fun time!
After lunch and some naps, we took the kids over to the Art City Days carnival in Springville. We weren't quite sure how Alexis would do with the rides, since this was the first year she was big enough to ride anything besides the carousel. Addison did NOT like rides at this age, so we were really surprised when Alexis loved every single one of them! I think the consensus was that the giant slide was the favorite of the afternoon! Once we had spent a ton of money on tickets, we got some dinner, and then took the kids out to get some ice cream. I love days when we just get to go have fun with our kids!
