4 Months Old!

Our silly little Alexis turned 4-months old on August 13th. She seems to have changed so much in the past month. Here are some of the fun things she's doing now:

  • Alexis wants to sit up all the time. If you try and lay her down, she'll stretch to try and sit up on her own. We got a bumbo seat for her, as well as an exersaucer, and she loves sitting up in them.
  • She smiles ALL THE TIME! Well, except when we try to capture those smiles on camera. She recognizes everyone in the family, and will get big cheesy grins on her face whenever any of us get near her.
  • Alexis has given up on using a binky, and prefers to suck her thumb.
  • When we tickle her, she doesn't giggle....she squeals. Really, really loudly.
  • She has been sleeping 11-12 hours at night for about a month now, and still usually takes two naps during the day. My sanity thanks her for that!
  • She has found that she can reach and grab onto things, and almost everything goes straight to her mouth. She is also starting to discover her feet.
  • At her doctor's appointment today, she weighed 15.7 pounds (84th percentile), and was 25.1 inches long (74th percentile).
She is growing like a weed, and it's so much fun to see her little personality come out! Her siblings adore her, and she adores them right back. We're so lucky to have her in our home!
