Our Halloween celebrations this year started out on Friday the 29th. Addison and Tyler went down to Grandma's house that afternoon, and got to carve pumpkins with Grandma and Amanda. They had so much fun, and it was good that they got to do it there because we never got around to carving our own pumpkins.
We celebrated Halloween on Saturday the 30th this year, which is common in Utah when Halloween falls on a Sunday. This year, Addison wanted to be Cinderella and Tyler chose to be Superman. Tyler spent the morning/early afternoon with his dad, so we took Addison down to Macey's and went trick-or-treating there while we did our grocery shopping. She absolutely loved it! Later that evening, we joined my parent's ward for their trunk-or-treat. When we started at 5:00, it was a little chilly, but manageable. About 15 or 20 minutes into it, the sky suddenly turned black, the wind picked up, and it started to hail. HARD. Zuke picked up Addison, wrapped her up in his coat, and raced back to the car. Tyler and I were right behind them, and poor Tyler just got pelted on the side of his head by the hail. I felt so bad! We got back to grandma's house and got dry, then had dinner and decorated cupcakes. Once that was done, we put the kids back in their costumes and made our way over to my grandpa's house like we do every year. Despite the yucky weather, the kids got a load of candy, and I think we all had a good time!
